Aruzas UAE Cookie Policy
🇦🇪 United Arab Emirates · UAE PDPL · Online store
This Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used by Aruzas, which are essential, which are optional, and how you can control them.
Effective: 28 August 2026 · Version 1.1
Part I
What this Policy covers and how cookies and related browser technologies work.
This Cookie Policy explains how Aruzas Trading L.L.C-FZ (“Aruzas”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the UAE version of aruzas.com. It describes the current technologies, their purposes and duration, the choices available to you, and how those choices relate to our Privacy Policy.
The Policy applies to browsing, country and language preferences, Accounts, the Bag, Checkout and online orders. A payment, communications or other external provider may also set technologies in its own service and provide a separate notice.
A cookie is a small text record that a website asks a browser to store and return on later requests. Cookies can recognise a browser session, remember a requested setting, maintain a Bag, support security or measure how a visit began.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, software development kits and server-side event records. They do not all operate in the same way, but this Policy uses the word technologies to cover them when they serve a comparable purpose.
First-party technologies are set by Aruzas or by services operating the Aruzas Website under our instructions. WordPress and WooCommerce use first-party technologies for the store, and Google Analytics 4 sets first-party _ga* cookies only after Analytics consent.
Third-party services receive data when their technology is active. Google LLC provides Google Analytics 4; its tag is blocked before Analytics consent, Google signals and ad-personalisation signals are disabled in the current Website configuration, and the Google Privacy Policy also applies to Google’s processing. We do not treat an installed plugin as active tracking: a third-party category is listed as active only when its technology actually loads on the customer-facing Website.
Session technologies normally expire when the browser session ends, although a browser may restore a session. Persistent technologies remain until their stated expiry, until you delete them, or until they are replaced.
The inventory in Part II gives the typical duration configured by Aruzas or WooCommerce. A provider may apply a different duration inside its own service. We review duration settings and do not retain an optional technology longer than reasonably necessary for its disclosed purpose.
Depending on the category, a technology may process a random identifier, consent choice, Account or session status, Bag status, selected country or language, page and Product viewed, page title and URL, on-page interactions, referring page, campaign source, approximate country inferred from network data, IP address, browser and device information, or technical and security events.
WooCommerce Bag cookies do not contain the Products themselves or other directly identifying information; they use a session key to find server-side Bag data. Google Analytics 4 may receive Website-use and device data after Analytics consent. Optional source-attribution data may be linked to an order only if an order is placed during the relevant session and Analytics consent is active.
Part II
What is necessary, what is optional, and what the current UAE store actually uses.
These technologies are required to deliver a service you request or to operate security, fraud prevention, consent records, Account sign-in, the Bag, Checkout, payment and order functions. They cannot be switched off through Cookie Settings because the relevant service would not work reliably without them.
You may still block them in browser settings, but Account, Bag, payment, country selection or Checkout features may fail. Strictly Necessary does not mean that a technology may be used for unrelated advertising or optional analysis.
Functional technologies improve convenience, for example by supporting recently viewed Products or remembering a dismissed notice. Optional functional features remain off unless enabled through Cookie Settings or directly requested.
When you deliberately select and apply a country or language, Aruzas stores that requested preference so the selected market can be presented consistently. This direct action is separate from passive tracking. Clearing the preference returns the Website to its supported default market.
Analytics technologies help us understand Website use, whether a visit began through a direct visit, search, referral or campaign, and how the commerce journey performs. The current implementation includes Google Analytics 4 with Enhanced Measurement and WooCommerce first-party Order Attribution. Depending on the interaction, GA4 may measure page views, scrolls, outbound clicks, on-site search, downloads, form interactions and embedded-video engagement. WooCommerce uses short-lived sbjs_* session technologies to record how a visit began.
Aruzas uses basic Google Consent Mode: optional Google storage is denied by default and the Google tag is not requested until you choose Analytics in Cookie Settings. Google signals and ad-personalisation signals are disabled in the current tag configuration. WooCommerce attribution scripts are gated by the same Analytics choice. If Analytics is rejected or withdrawn, known _ga*, _gid, _gat* and sbjs_* cookies are removed and the related scripts remain blocked on subsequent page loads.
These technologies can build an interest profile, measure advertising across services, retarget a visitor or connect activity with a social platform. Aruzas does not currently activate third-party behavioural advertising or social tracking on the public UAE store.
The category is shown in Cookie Settings so the choice is explicit and the architecture is ready for transparent control. Installing or configuring a future advertising provider does not authorise it to run: the provider must be added to this Policy, technically gated, and kept off unless valid consent is obtained.
When you open or complete Checkout, a payment or fraud-prevention provider may use necessary cookies, device signals or secure-session technologies to authenticate the transaction, prevent abuse and return the result to Aruzas. Those technologies are conditional on using that service, and blocking them may prevent payment.
Where a provider independently determines its processing, its privacy and cookie information also applies. Aruzas will update the current inventory and Checkout disclosures before adding a provider that introduces optional analytics, advertising or cross-service tracking.
This table reflects the active Aruzas theme, WooCommerce store and consent-gated Google Analytics 4 setup reviewed on 28 August 2026. A technology appears only when the relevant feature is used; names containing [hash], [container-id] or [notice_id] vary by Website, provider or notice.
| Technology | Category | Typical duration | Current purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
aruzas_cookie_consent | Strictly Necessary | 6 months | Records the Cookie Settings choices and policy version so the banner does not reappear on every page. |
aruzas_countryaruzas_language | Requested Preference | 1 year | Remembers the country and language a visitor directly selects and applies. The current UAE store uses English and AED. |
woocommerce_cart_hashwoocommerce_items_in_cart | Strictly Necessary | Browser session | Lets WooCommerce recognise that the Bag changed and display the correct Bag contents. |
wp_woocommerce_session_[hash] | Strictly Necessary | 2 days for guests; 7 days while signed in | Provides a unique customer session key so WooCommerce can retrieve server-side Bag and session data without storing the Bag contents in the cookie itself. |
woocommerce_recently_viewedstore_notice[notice_id] | Functional | Browser session | Supports recently viewed Products or remembers that a store notice was dismissed, only when those features are used. |
wordpress_logged_in_[hash]wordpress_sec_[hash]wordpress_test_cookie | Strictly Necessary | Session or account sign-in duration | Tests cookie support, secures sign-in and keeps an authenticated customer connected to /my-account/. |
wc_cart_hash_[hash]wc_fragments_[hash] | Strictly Necessary browser storage | Browser session or local storage | Where used, helps WooCommerce refresh Bag fragments and keep the header Bag count consistent. |
_ga_ga_[container-id] | Analytics & Performance | Up to 2 years; browser limits may shorten this | Google Analytics 4 uses first-party identifiers to distinguish users and preserve session state. The Google tag loads only after Analytics consent. |
sbjs_sessionsbjs_current, sbjs_first and related sbjs_* | Analytics & Performance | Current browser session; 30-minute attribution session | First-party WooCommerce Order Attribution records how a visit began. These technologies load only after Analytics consent and may be attached to an order placed during that session. |
| Payment or Checkout provider technologies | Strictly Necessary / Provider | Provider-specific | May be used only when the visitor opens or completes a payment flow for security, fraud prevention, authentication and transaction processing. The relevant provider gives its own information where it acts independently. |
| Third-party behavioural advertising or social tracking | Advertising & Social | Not active | Aruzas does not currently activate these technologies on the public store. They must remain blocked unless later disclosed and valid consent has been obtained. |
Part III
How consent works, how to change it, and what happens when technologies are disabled.
On a first visit, Strictly Necessary technologies may operate, while optional Functional, Analytics and Advertising categories remain disabled. The banner provides equally available choices to reject optional technologies, manage categories, or accept all.
Where consent is required, it must result from a clear positive action. Continuing to browse, silence, or a pre-selected optional box is not treated as consent. The consent record stores the selected categories and this Policy version for six months, after which a fresh choice may be requested.
You can accept all optional categories, reject all optional categories, or choose Functional, Analytics and Advertising separately. Strictly Necessary remains active. Your latest saved choice replaces the earlier choice for this browser.
The same control remains available in the Website Footer. If you use another browser, device or browser profile, you may need to make the choice again.
Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies, block third-party cookies, clear site data on exit or limit tracking signals. Instructions are normally found under Privacy, Cookies, Site Data or Permissions in the browser settings.
Browser controls apply beyond Aruzas Cookie Settings and may delete the consent record itself. If that happens, the Website may ask for a new choice. Device privacy settings and platform-level advertising controls may provide additional choices for apps or external services.
Rejecting optional categories does not prevent ordinary browsing or purchasing. It may remove convenience features and means Aruzas receives less information about how a visit began.
Blocking or deleting Strictly Necessary technologies can sign you out, empty or prevent updates to the Bag, reset country or language choices, prevent Cookie Settings from being remembered, or stop Checkout and payment from functioning. Clearing cookies does not cancel an order already placed or erase order records that Aruzas must retain for contract, tax, fraud, dispute or legal purposes.
You can change or withdraw optional consent at any time through Cookie Settings. Withdrawal is as direct as giving consent and applies to future optional processing. It does not make earlier consent-based processing unlawful.
When Analytics is turned off, Aruzas removes known first-party _ga*, _gid, _gat* and sbjs_* cookies from this site, stops requesting the Google tag and stops loading WooCommerce attribution scripts on the next page load. A third party may require its own control to remove data already held inside its separate service.
WordPress and WooCommerce technologies support the current store. With Analytics consent, Google LLC receives GA4 measurement data for Website analytics. Payment, hosting, security, communications or delivery providers may receive only the information needed for their service. Aruzas does not sell cookie data or activate optional advertising sharing by default.
A provider may process information outside the UAE. The safeguards and lawful transfer mechanisms used by Aruzas are described in our Privacy Policy. A provider acting independently is responsible for its own notice and transfer arrangements.
We review this Policy and the live technology inventory when WooCommerce, a plugin, payment provider, embedded service, campaign tool or market configuration changes. A material new optional purpose or provider will not be enabled merely because an earlier general choice exists; we will update the disclosure and request fresh consent where required.
This version applies to the UAE market. Before opening ordering in another country, Aruzas will review local consent standards, providers, language requirements, durations and market-specific settings and publish the applicable supplement or version.
For a question about this Policy or the technology inventory, email info@aruzas.com with the subject Cookie Policy. For access, correction, deletion, objection or another personal-data request, follow the process in our Privacy Policy.
This Cookie Policy forms part of the Website information supporting our Terms and Conditions. Nothing in it limits a privacy or consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited.
