Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

Aruzas wants its digital spaces to feel clear, considered and welcoming. We are working to make the customer-facing Website usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies or navigate in different ways.

This statement covers the UAE online store and its principal journeys: browsing and Search, category and Product pages, the Bag, Checkout, My Account, order information, policies and Customer Care.

Standard and Current Status

Our current accessibility target is progressive alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. We use that standard to guide design, content, development and testing decisions.

This is a target, not a declaration that every page or component currently conforms. The Website has not yet completed an independent, full-scope accessibility audit and is not represented as independently certified. Some content, custom interactions and third-party services may not yet satisfy every applicable success criterion.

Measures We Are Taking

Our accessibility improvement programme includes:

  • using semantic HTML, meaningful headings, landmarks and labels wherever practical;
  • supporting keyboard interaction, visible focus and understandable control names;
  • reviewing colour contrast, text resizing, responsive reflow and reduced-motion preferences;
  • adding useful alternative text to informative Product and editorial images while keeping decorative media silent;
  • providing clear form instructions, required-field identification and understandable error feedback;
  • testing key customer journeys after material theme, WooCommerce, plugin or content changes; and
  • recording issues, prioritising barriers by customer impact and retesting completed fixes.
Keyboard and Navigation

We aim for the Website to be operable with a keyboard using familiar controls such as Tab, Shift + Tab, Enter, Space and Escape. Navigation order, focus visibility, menus, dialogs, accordions, carousels and Checkout controls form part of our ongoing testing.

If focus becomes trapped, disappears, moves unexpectedly or cannot reach a control, please report the page and task so we can investigate and provide an alternative route.

Screen Readers, Content and Forms

We are working to provide a logical reading order, descriptive page titles and headings, labelled controls, useful link text, accessible status messages and understandable form errors. Product imagery should include an equivalent text description when the image communicates information needed to make a purchasing decision.

Accessibility can be affected by the browser, operating system, screen reader and their versions. We recommend current supported versions where possible, but we do not require you to disclose a disability or diagnosis when asking for help.

Visual Presentation, Zoom and Motion

Our design target includes readable contrast, layouts that reflow at smaller widths and zoom levels, controls that remain distinguishable without relying only on colour, and motion that does not interfere with comprehension or operation. Where the device or browser exposes a reduced-motion preference, the theme is designed to reduce non-essential animation.

Browser zoom, text-size, contrast and operating-system display settings may provide additional control. If a setting makes content overlap, disappear or become unusable, please tell us which page and setting were used.

Shopping, Account and Support Journeys

We prioritise the tasks needed to understand a Product, select a destination, add to the Bag, complete Checkout, sign in or register, review an order, request support and read customer policies. Error prevention and recovery are especially important where personal details, delivery information or payment are involved.

If an online step prevents you from completing a purchase or managing an existing order, use Contact Us before sharing payment information. Aruzas will never ask you to send a complete payment-card number, PIN, password or one-time banking code by email, WhatsApp or chat.

Known Limitations and Third-Party Services

Areas under active review include custom menu and destination dialogs, Product galleries and carousels, dynamically updated WooCommerce Account and Checkout interfaces, and the consistency of alternative text across catalogue media.

Payment pages, courier tracking, WhatsApp and other linked or embedded services may be operated by third parties and may have accessibility behaviour outside our direct control. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of an independent service, but we will raise material issues with the provider and, where reasonably possible, offer an Aruzas-controlled alternative or assistance.

Alternative Assistance and Formats

If Website content or a function is not accessible to you, we can provide reasonable assistance through email, telephone or WhatsApp. This may include explaining Product or policy information, helping locate an order, recording a return-support request, or providing Website text in a more usable electronic format.

Contact us before sending confidential information so we can identify an appropriate and secure channel. The availability of an alternative does not reduce our responsibility to investigate the underlying Website barrier.

Report an Accessibility Issue

Email info@aruzas.com with the subject Accessibility Support, call or WhatsApp +971 50 384 0328, or use Contact Us.

If possible, include the page address, the task you were trying to complete, what happened, and the browser or device used. Assistive-technology details are optional but can help us reproduce the issue. Please do not include passwords, full payment-card details or one-time codes.

We aim to acknowledge an accessibility report within 2 business days and provide a substantive update, resolution or practical alternative within 10 business days where reasonably possible. Complex issues or third-party dependencies may require longer, in which case we will explain the next step.

Assessment, Review and Updates

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We review this statement and the associated implementation when key journeys, technologies, providers, supported countries or legal requirements change. Formal testing may combine automated tools, keyboard review, code inspection and assistive-technology testing; automated results alone are not treated as proof of conformance.

Future independent assessment results and material known limitations will be reflected here. Nothing in this statement limits any accessibility, equality, privacy or consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited.
